Monday

Then we went to . . .

Cheese at the Borough Market

That night the rest of our theatre group arrived from San Diego and we all had dinner together.

Wednesday

We took two backstage tours – The National Theater and the Royal Opera House Covent Garden

That night we attended a musical.

Some of our jet lagged theater group had a hard time staying awake.

Thursday

We toured Hampton Court – a bus ride of at least an hour each way.

We took the garden tour.

And we saw an indoor tennis court.

That night we went to see Guys and Dolls at the Bridge Theater

Friday

We went to the Cabinet War Rooms

That night we saw Much Ado About Nothing at the Old Globe Theatre.

We had seats but many in the audience stood throughout

Saturday

We took a tour of the Houses of Parliament. Here we are with our fave guide Sean.

It‘s amazing how much these guides know.

That night we attended another play.

Sunday

We took a boat trip to Greenwich.

We took a tour of the clipper ship Cutty Sark. (I thought of you Brudder Bob.)

I enjoyed the display of figureheads.

Then we walked up to the Royal Observatory.

The view from the top was amazing!

Here I am at the Prime Meridian.

One foot is in each hemisphere.

On the way back to the boat I stopped at the Greenwich Market and had some retail therapy.

We took the boat back to the hotel. That night we packed our suitcases for the train trip to Edinburgh the following day.

    Thanx for this wonderful summary of your London visit – my favorite foreign destination and this brought back memories of our travels there. Mary, I thought of you last nite as Alan enjoyed attending the YoYo Ma concert here with S. D. Orches.
